When it comes to Christianity I know they don't believe in homosexuality but do they respect it?

I'm just saying even though Christians don't believe homosexuality is natural does that mean that they shouldn't respect them or judje them for their decision?

It REALLY depends on the person. People interpret religion differently. My sister is Christian (though she didn't grow up that way, she converted when she met her husband) and she and her husband are very accepting. She really tries not to judge anyone, and she grew up learning to accept the gay community and with a gay uncle, so she would never look down on anyone because of their orientation. I've asked her what she thinks about religion and homosexuality and she said, "Well it says in the Bible that it's a sin. But everyone commits sins all the time. It's impossible not to commit sins. When you think something mean that could be a sin. So you should never hate someone because the Bible says that they commit sins, you just try not to commit sins yourself and pray for God to forgive you when you do commit one."

On the other hand, there are people who think that homosexuality is an abomination and that gay people don't deserve rights. Though religion might be their "excuse" for this behavior, I really think it depends more on what type of person you are and how open minded you are. An open-minded person may happen to be Christian, or a very narrow minded person may happen to be Christian. It also can depend on your denomination (Catholics, born-agains, pentecostal, Presbyterian, etc.) and the social climate of where you live.
