How can we comprise on the interior design of our home
He is into earthy, muted color tones. Traditional furniture mixed with contemporary accents.
I'm into 'Fiesta' type home. Think "Romantic, homey, Mexican restaurant" interior. Lots and lots of color. I like antique, wooden, old world looking furniture.
How can we come to a comprise so that we can each be happy with how our home is decorated? Any ideas on how we could combine these opposite styles is appreciated.
Going the eclectic route will give you a much more interesting room. Leather furniture mixed with older wood pieces are a good combination- also we are seeing more 'vintage' styled furniture in stores all the time if it is new furniture you need. The fiesta theme you have in mind could easily overpower the room, I would suggest using it more in the finer details, like a throw rug, lamp shades, candles, pictures... just enough to add the flavor to the room, without taking it over.
