Inverted Scallop
Feeding my pink tip haitian?

I know that I can feed it all sorts of things. I plan on feeding it scallops. But my question is can I just go to the grocery store and buy it that way? Do I have to do anything before introducing it to my tank? I know that I can't wash it with tap water because of the chlorine. But should I rinse the food with distilled water first? Is it possible to overfeed the anemone? With I screw up the nitrates and nitrites of the tank? I have a 29G bio-cube with lots of inverts and a domino damsel and a Cinnamon clown.

in nature, anemones eat a wide variety of things, both large and small.

i would vary the diet and include krill (either freeze dried or frozen), frozen mysis shrimp, frozen silversides (cut into smaller pieces), clams/oysters, and pretty much any other meaty seafood you can think of. you can buy the food at a local grocery store or you can buy it at a fish store. the choice is really up to you. but grocery store bought food will be more fresh and will have fewer phosphate binding agents and what not.

do not feed your anemone phytoplankton. the anemone has one large mouth and will not eat anything it cannot physically grab and stuff into its mouth.
