Would the Cricut Cake be used by professionals?
I was looking around at an arts store and discovered the Cricut Cake. I love making cakes, and actually want to get some sort of degree in the Culinary Arts. Although I do want to learn how to produce designs on fondant/gumpaste on my own, I thought this machine might be good for borders and flowers since time can sometimes be a problem. My concern was that using the Cricut would be considered "cheating" by true cake-making professionals. What do you think? OK or not ok for professional use?
I am not a professional cake artist but I can frost a cake lol. Before the cricut cake came out I've seen on those cake shows professionals use the cricut expression. They still did some by hand but they also used the cricut so I would think yes for professional use. Besides wouldn't using it give you more time to make the cake recipes taste outstanding? After all what's the point of a pretty cake if it doesn't taste good. I'd rather pay more for a good tasting cake than a pretty piece of cardboard.
